Nominations for the Kinoshita Lectureship and The New Biennial Cataract Research Award Now Being Accepted.

The Kinoshita Lectureship is as prestigious international award, which honors Dr. Jin H. Kinoshita for his outstanding contributions to vision research, is given for meritorious research that contributes to the understanding of the etiology and prevention of cataract development. The recipient presents a lecture on his or her research at the biennial International Conference on the Lens Research Meeting and is awarded an honorarium of $20,000 and a plaque. To nominate a person for this award, please Email a nomination letter on business letterhead as well as a C.V. of the person being nominated to Dr. Margorie Lou at [email protected] by October 1, 2023. Acceptance of the award requires in person acceptance at the meeting.

The Cataract Research Awards award is given y by the NFER to recognize and honor "an emerging scientist who has made significant contributions to lens and cataract research, and who shows promise of developing into an international leader in the field". The award consists of a plaque and a $5,000 honorarium that is annually presented every two years at the Intranational Conference of the Lens Meeting. Acceptance of the award requires in person acceptance at the meeting.
